Hello everyone, pulled everything off my eb motor ready to swap all the intake/ ignition system over due to a f**k head on the burnout car. When doing this I noticed that the ef has a wire running into the timing case (im guessing for a sensor of some sort?) And the eb does not have this, I am wondering if I still need this wire to be connected once I put the motor back into the ef or if it will start and run fine without it?? Any help appreciated thanks guys

That wire would be for the Crank Angle Sensor and yes you will need that.
You will need to fit the EF Timing Case to the EB Motor to mound the Crank Angle Sensor. |

Yes.
When you fit the Cam Sensor to the EB Bolck, remove the gear and from the EB Dizzy and fit it to the EF Sensor so that the gears match with the Aux Gear. |

Sorry for the hijack Billy93.

This is just for consistency's sake right, so you don't have uneven wear on the aux shaft gear? The dimensions and teeth of the EF synchroniser gear and EA-ED, EL dizzy are the same yeah?

Bit like using matching gears for the diff. The dimensions and teeth of the EF synchroniser gear and EA-ED, EL dizzy are the same yeah? Aux shafts are the same from EA to AU. Drives gears on the EA-ED/EL Dizzy, EF Cam Sensor and the AU Oil Drive are all the same. |
