My EFII Fairmont is intermittantly missing in particular in the idle-1500rpm range. I have checked almost everything i can think of. Any ideas?

Ignition wiring maybe.....??

(This was part of another problem that I had, that included
the car "missing" from time to time. A repair of my ignition power
wire did the fix)

Cam or Crank Angle Sensors, Dirty injectors, O2 sensor?
Leads, plugs?
Try cleaning the throttle body and PCV valve with carby cleaner as well.

I agree. Try the Leads and Plugs first. I stuffed around for ages with mine and replaced nearly everything. Turned out to be the the Cam angle sensor where the dizzy cap is on other E series cars.

My leads and plugs are ok, they arent that old and are in good nick. My injectors were replaced not too long ago. Whats the error code for dead cam angle sensor as im going to see if it has any errors in the diagnostics.
Thanks.
Will

Mine didn’t show up any errors when I ran the diagnostic. Made it a process of elimination. I was fortunate enough to have access to another EF and I swapped parts and sensors till I figured it out.
