Hey guys i need good instructions on how to remove the plastic surrounds around the steering wheel and how to change over the key barrel, mines getting very worn and i have a new one ready to put in just have no idea how to. Any ideas?

Under the column on the plastic is 4 screws, then once u undo those the bottom half will come off.

then the top half has 2-4 screws to undo as well which you will find a bit hard to get to as the loom rims around thru it etc.

the barrel, turn it to on position or acc i think maybe and put a alankey or a small piece of metal say about 2mm thick in the hole of the barrel underneath, you will see what i mean. its a tiny black done. push that and once thats pushed in pull the barrel out with the key still in the acc position out (using the key to pull it out)

yup that's about it.

If you're paranoid you may want to disable the airbag before playing around on the steering column. Just remove the fuse.

its like 'disconnect the battery' if your goin to take ur airbag off to change steering wheels

IT DOESNT MATTER! lol it wont do anything

true, I've played around there many times, disconnected it the first few, then got lazy.
