the motor in my ed has seen better days to be honest and id rather change motors to something more efficent,but im stuck on what would be the best motor to put in the ed with minimal mods to get it in.
so yeah which motor would be best?also add into the fact i want a supercharger on it once i get off my ps thanks |

hi
ef/el engines are the easiest to put into the ed.. but with a little extra you can just as easy put an au engine in.. and considering your planning on supercharging late?r go the au engine!! i did................. |

EL, the computer and loom are more compatible.
Rip the head off the new one and do some work to it out of the car. makes life real easy. at least then you'll know the gasket and other things will be fine

are you gonna keep the 3 belt setup or go with the serpentine belt.

only had to cut the square tube on the front of the k frame to clear the sump.
there are a few other thing but the sump clearence is the main one.. here is a link to a tech doco.. it a little out of date but still ok.. documents.php?d=85 or check out my build thread.. |

i got it from macarthur parts plus at narellan/smeatons grange..
they are currently also selling the std au engines with low kms for around $350. ive brought 2 au engines from them so far... |
