Ok im a carby and push rod person myself but my wife owns a neat eb falcon with a few small mods , ive read and seen around the traps that you can fit the ef intake manifold to the eb and a later eec , couse the earlyer model manifold makes the car a b**ch to work on.
What i would like to know is how to do it , and what rewiring is involved

Assuming it's a multipoint EB with smartlock.

EL ecu is a direct swap for an EB, an EF ecu has a different number of pins. Interms of the manifold yes it is fairly easy I know an EL manifold will plug straight into the EB wiring loom and only 1 or 2 extra wires are needed to be run from the ECU (I have heard that the plugs on an EF manifold wont plug in??). Some people have found you need to run a knock sensor or the engine will detonate, but others didn't have any issues (Or if you have a unichip you definately dont need a knock sensor). Two extra wires from the ECU are requiered, one wire is required to switch the butterflies in the manifold and one wire to the knock sensor.
Or you can control the butterflies with a rpm switch from jaycar and not need to replace the EB ecu at all.

You will need a list of things to get from a wreckers which I can go into if you want.
I can also give a more detailed explanation of the wiring if you want.

If the cluster has a smartlock light that flashes when the car is off it has smartlock, otherwise you will have to read up on either installing smartlock or bypassing it (I would have a clue on this topic sorry).

List of parts needed for bbm conversion:
-manifold (inc throttle body)
-manifold wiring loom
-air box
-intake piping between box and throttle body
-thermostat top housing
-accelerator cable and pedal
-upper radiator hose
-heater pipe (metal) on the manifold side
-vacuum switch
-dipstick
-fuel hoses (Just from the manifold to the fuel lines)
-either EL rocker cover or drill and tap a hole in the EB one for the throttle cable
-Vacuum hoses or cut the EB ones
