I want to put an EFII XR6 motor into my XH ute.
The XH has the old ED inlet manifold etc, but the EF pulleys on the front of the motor. Will the EF motor fit, or was there a reason why Ford stuck with the ED configuration in the XH ?? |

As far as i know, every motor from EA to EL, possibly AU as well is a direct replacement. The XH bonnet is slightly different though, so they may have used the ED manifold as it has less clearance issues. Might be worth checking out.

XH XR6s had the EF manifold and EEC 5. all other XHs has the EEC 4. The motor will fit no problem, you're biggest hurdle is the ecu I think, getting the manifold to switch etc.

XHII XR6 had the el motor, broadband manifold and wahat not. Im pretty sure all the earlier utes had the ed motor.

The motors were actually a hybrid I believe, EF block, crank etc, but the ED manifold and EECIV. Except XR6, that was all EF.
