the head on my ef was cracked so i put new head on it and f**k it up wich was my fault, i got a motor from the wreckers yesterday took my time putting on gearbox double checked everything then i put it in today and double checked everything, fired it up and let it rund for about 1 min, turned it off checked all the fluids which were fine, fired it up again and about 4 seconds after starting it, it made one of the most horrid sounds i have heard like a knock any help would be graetly appreciated

How long does that horrid noise persist for? Could be the lifters getting oil pressure up. A pretty normal falcon noise with an engine with a few km's on it. Usually makes a noise for about 1 to 2 seconds then shut up.

the guy at GDM wreckers said it had 137,000 k on it
and that noise is pretty constant i out it in gear and it quietend a bit, so im thinking that one of the torque converter bolts may have come loose
