Just wondering if a Tickford AU III XR8 snorkel would fit an EF Gli standard box?

Thanks!

yes, but may foul on the thermo fans like mine did (used a paint gun and remoulded it)
also you need to trim an edge off it, but otherwise presto!

the intake snorkel will hit the thermo fans, thus not making them a direct fit.

oh ok, so it's not really the best idea for a modification? not sure if it's just in my head atm but I'm really into getting more air into my engine haha

you get a bit of a gain but not much. The EF\EL GT snorkels fit too. Not a bad idea especialy if your gonna do some bigger mods. Cam etc. Typicly about 3-4 kw. so stuff all. but every little bit adds up i spose. and its this whole synergy thing. ie say 3 bolt on mods say rated for a gain of 10 kw each but for some reason they all work well together and produce 35kw.

BA XT and XR6T have both fit striaght on my EF with no modification. to get more air im looking at drilling a hole throught the bottom of the air box as i have a GLI (no fog lights in the front bumper) with no fill-in/replacement plastic, so it will be cold air stright into the box... im also looking at and inbox pod filter setup for more surface area of filtratrion

you can't buy the Tickford snorkels new anymore, so you have to get a BA series snorkel. I have seen the tickford ones go for over $100 on EBAY.

I bought one about a year ago from Ford Spare Parts and it was $26.

Basically a straight, but tight fit. You will need to trim the bottom lip, and drill 2 new holes in your radiator support panel but shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes all up.
