Hi guys,
In the past month or so my car has begun to stall when braking to a stop or slowing down to go around a corner. Its really annoying because I have to keep the accelerator on so it doesn't stall. My car has no problem idling, it only stalls when comming to a stop or cornering. The fuel pump and filter were done not long ago so i know that is not the problem. I have also checked the pcv and that seems fine too. Thanks in advance. |

I would suspect the isc (idle speed controller)

Does it only do it when the fuel light is on? or when fuel is low?

Fuel level makes no difference.
I cleaned out the ISC with WD40 when the problem began and made no difference. |

+1 for the isc
check the voltage at the connector going to it ignition on engine off should be 8-10volts or while the engines running unplug the connector if theres no change in idle speed try a different isc

sounds like it could be a power steering switch issue ..
might be worth unpluging it and seeing if it makes any difference. Laticia.

Double check your map sensor hose and other vac hoses going to rear of manifold.
I seem to remember having this problem a while ago and the map sensor hose was starting to slip off its fitting on the manifold side.

My ef was doing that a few months ago, turns out it was the torque controller in the gearbox.
