i kept killing ignition switches in my old Nissan Urvan. so i disconected the wires from the ignition which actualy start the car and just attatched them to a momentary push switch. then turn ignition to the on\run then push the button. dunno if it would work in the ef tho smartlock may be an issue. Can sombody confirm/deny if this will work in ef.
used to be funny as hell watching ppl trying to start it tho. and for some reason noone ever thought to ask what the big red button on the dash in front of the driver was.

i fitted a second rear demister switch, opened the ignition lume found the wire that runs to the starter relay cut it and added a hidden switch to swap from key to starter button works as anti theft device as well

This will work without smartlock modification on EF as long as the key is turned to IGN.

i need to ask why would you want a start button instead of a key start??
to me its a bodgy thing you do when your ignition is stuffed.. or if your driving a go cart or a paddock basher.lol its just my opinion but ill still like to know why?? |
