Hey

I am trying to get my car up to RWC standards, but I ran into a snag with a buggered intermediate gasket, the round one that sits between the two halves of the stock exhaust manifold. Would anyone know the part number of it? I've called around but it seems a bit difficult without the number.

Thanks

I think if you go to maybe Repco, and explain what you want, they would accommodate you

However, I assume you mean the gasket that is between the two halves of the exhaust manifold, before it goes to the actual exhaust pipe. If so, the part number is: EA9A457A

There is no gasket between the exhaust pipe and the exhaust manifold

Cheers

Awesome! Thanks

I went down to Auto One a little earlier and picked it up as everywhere else was closed today, xD.

Popped it in, got everything great then started it (New used engine), which started perfectly, just to start hearing some beautiful noises from no oil pressure, big end knock, piston slap or something, dunno haha, time to take it to a professional lol.

Thanks again!

Did you have the cam sensor out on the new engine?

Yeah, I removed the dizzy and replaced it with the cam sensor

Edit: I also changed from the GLi computer to an EF Ghia Tickford one, 4TBD is what I changed to, to be exact

Did you rule out the oil pump drive shaft?

Almost, it appears fine to the eye, and the filter I replaced was filled with oil after running the car for the time before the knocking, however tomorrow I might try turning it manually with a socket and extension, just have to find a cheap socket to weld to a cheap extension so i don't risk losing anything in there, xD.
