i had i look around the site and found alot of posts etc pictures with eb 4lires with ef/el tappet covers on it.. i just ask will it go onto the 3.9 (i assume it would) and is there any benifits of doing it ie stop the rubber buing things stop leaking (or almost leakproof)
cause i need to replace the rear bung in the eb because it is leaking on the gearbox. and in dubbo a tappet cover gasket that includes the bungs are few and far between (autobarn sucks here and super cheap are useless.) And i think i may need a headgasket cause it is leaking oil(but not letting water into the oil though) but that is for another day.. so all i need is an ef/el tappet cover and gasket??? just an after thought will an au one fit yes / no? (prolley not) chers

they dont fit straight away, you can either a) take the bolt/nuts from a ef head for bolting the rocker cover down, or b) use 3 sets of the standard spacers from the 3.9/4l from ea-d (wich is the way i went, never leaked, i also put a bit of sealant down before the spacers as well)

the ef doesnt have a thread that the nuts screw down onto, they have a longish bolt with integrated spacer, you would have to remove the standard threaded bolts from the head before you do this
