has anyone swapped their ef i6 to a el i6 or vice versa?

yea i havem when my bottem end blew the mechanic ordered an el short motor to go in. been in since december an only done 3000kms lol. running ef head, sump and all other accesory things from the old motor.

I once did an EL 6 into EF. Basically the only difference to get it up and running will be to remove the coil pack stuff and install your dizzy. You may want to swap harmonic balancers although i think it won't make any difference in your situation. (I had to as EF needs EF harmonic balancer with tooth wheel and crank angle sensor to run)
