Hi, i've lost power to my tail lights, nothing on the brown wire. So I was hoping someone could tell me where the loom goes too??
It's an EF Wagon and the loom disappears into the body behind the drivers side rear wheel and I'll be F**k if I know where it goes after that! Cheers |

Most cars run just under the edge of the carpet where the plastics for the doors/pillar covers go. If your lift the drivers side plastic door tread, move back the carpet you should see it. If you pull your taillight fuse out, you can do a continuity check from the fuse socket (not the live contact) too the boot plugs. May need a couple of meters of extra wire on a multimeter and just extend one lead. Do a continuity check first with just the multimeter and new lead. Should be under 1 ohm. Now check your circuit.
I'm assuming you have checked your fuse.

ah ha! it was dodgily spliced in behind the rear rhs plastic panel.
They'd used those squeeze together splicers and it didn't seem to have cut through the insulation on the trailer loom. A quick re-connect with the lovely telstra gelly variety and I'm in business. Sweet and thanks. |
