hi are the transmitions different in a stationwagon or are they the same please help

They are the same. Only thing to watch for is the early E series torque converters (EA,B,D) are not interchangeable with the EF,L transmissions (due to different throat sizes), however an EA,B,D trans will bolt up to an EF,L engine no worries and vice versa.

sorry what i mean is the trany in my faremont craped it self and i got 1 out of a station wagon just wondering if there are the same or a different ratio

Yes they are the same ratios etc. Should be a straight bolt up job. I only included the info on the torque converters as I got caught out by that myself.

Same box from EA to Au but the Au has a different bell housing which can be swapped for either.

got it in but it was different the 1 on the stationwagon had a little bel on the
torque converter i just cut it off but now i have lost reverse it worked for like an hour then i turned my car off then when i turned it back on i had no reverse anyone know whats goin on |
