First check the engine bay fuse under the black cover next too the coolant over flow bottle. Should be labelled. The other black cover down next too the battery is relays for headlights, horn, starter, so don't go opening that one.

If that's ok you need to test the thermo fan relays behind the passenger headlights. Removing the airbox makes access alot easier. There is a 5pin relay and 2*4pin relays under the cover.

Use a multimeter to test the relays or just remove a working relay from under the dash( rear window demister will do) and swap them over. Set a/c too high as both fans should come on.

Process of elimination.....

A faulty Coolant Temperature sensor can cause thermo fan faults. With the car at idle unplug the sensor plug at the thermostat housing and the thermo fans should both come on at high speed.

Hows the temp gauge and is the car been running rich, other signs of a faulty coolant temp sensor.
