Cheers Troyman.
If they don't shut up in the next couple days might chase up a set. Can't hurt to try.

Did you figure it out in the end? I've got a CMS stage 4 head package in my Au and have this exact issue.
No chain rattle I can hear of yet as the tap tap rap noise drowns everything out.
Tried mason lifters, factory lifters, and always sounds around the cyl 4-5 area?
Pretty sure after taking valve train off there's only 2 factory shims in each rocker arm is this sufficient enough? Will look at clearances this week which hopefully shows something out of ordinary..

Nah mate. I just put up with it in the end. Still going strong and hasn't gotten any worse after being thrashed constantly and often testing the 6300rpm limiter for the last year. Funny how the ones you don't plan to keep long just refuse to die

I think I've found my problem... Most likely not enough shim? It's got 2 standard shims and seems like 0 tolerance with valve shut but still taps?

Sounds dry. Pull plugs and have someone crank the motor while you have the cover off. Watch for even oil flow between all rocker arms.
