Check your flex plate-torque converter bolts. Bad a** vibration if these come loose... Or just a really annoying noise!
Also check for a spun or rooted harmonic balancer.

Is it a series one or two EF ? I think October 95 was the series two introduction....these have oil-filled engine mounts and the oil can slowly drain out and collapse the mount causing a bad vibration. Mine did the same thing...and you noticed it pretty bad when you pulled it into gear because the revs dropped slightly. If you've had any unexplained oil leaks then that might be the solution.

more than likely a engine/gearbox mount or something loose, bent with the k frame.

Fixed one not long ago with a mates el. Was vibrating while driving and the it turned out to be a engine mount.

Brett-one.....is your car lowered, ie, super or ultra low?? as that would change the diff pinion angle so much so that the uni's are just about rendered useless. As is the case in my EF Fairmont. Sittin on ultra low's.

Got a pair of modd'd upper trail arms from Whiteline Suspension, put them in, wah-la, vibration gone, and much better take off....

My Fairmont does the same thing, vibration up the steering wheel, mirrors vibrating and whatnot. Up until now I have been revving it a bit at the lights or putting it into neutral because it was pretty harsh sometimes. I took it in for a transmission service and they noticed one of my mounts has leaked oil so it looks like this is whats caused the vibration.
Will find out and let you all know when i get it back tomorrow.

I am exactly the same after putting a 2.5" system on the AU2 Fairmont I am now forced to put it in neutral at lights because the vibration is so harsh it knocks the tip against the bumper

I'll have to get in there and look at the mounts
