Id say with a high stall and a shift kit (Everything else stock) the EF would smash the Commodore off the line.
I think its pretty pointless comparing the stock cars in a drag. Drag racing on the streets is illegal and pointless with stock cars IMO. The commodore only really has the advantage in auto form simply because of the gear ratios |

please end this thread.. there's been a million of these threads..
in conclusion most for i6 vs holden v6 will come down to this(given both cars are in same condition) holden will jump off the line quicker due to there shorter first gear, half way through first gear you will start reeling him in and by the time your in second you should be in front..this is the case regardless of whether the v6 is auto or manual, mind you if you i6 is manual, you should have him the whole time.. i used to be a d***head one day.. i used to drag race every car i could off the lights and i am yet to lose to a holden v6 in a stock ef.. either way both standard are buckets of donkey poo and will get munched by most 4cyl these days

ah well im just gonna put my 2 cents worth were its not needed as some of u may or may not now i have busted a** ef futura wit 270 on clock it has not had proper service sense i bought it at 120 it completly stock cept for ehaust which cost 120 bucks and sense than been macking high pitch squeel but besides that is is busted a** and in this i can still manage to munch up 4 cyl and wankers who put chevy badges on there new commondores so got nothing to do wit the car it is the driver really

Yeh true, the driver can extract an extra 40rwkw from any vehicle when theyre as gifted as you are largey.

drivers are worth a lot, but not so much in an auto.
the VT will get you to 80 from a standing start. EF will get him to 110 standing start. EF will win no matter what in a rolling start, no matter the kmh. The ecotec v6 has less torque than the i6, the gearing makes it feel like it has more than it has. in manual form all the ford i6's are faster than their v6 equivelant.

standard ef with 157kw and vt ecotec 146kw depends what speed there willing to take there cars ef will win up top but there both pritty equal

If you want to see which stock car goes quicker look up 0-100 and quarter times on google. If you want to make your car go faster than stock, then ask questions here. Start with looking at the stickies at the top as they will tell you where to start with modifying your car.
Some mod please lock this thread, last time I checked it was a technical section. Yes, I am an a***hole and it is that time of the month.

just another lil comparison, i was in my misses car last night, its an 08 focus zetec and there was this red P plater in his VT. She raced him at the lights and we beat it by about a car length to 80 and we were pulling away as well. lol

lol lame thread, just go out and race him, driven a VT auto and a VT manual, both with under 200,000km and they both feel like crap, manual vts are no fun at all and nor is the auto, only good for a daily driver to cart the baby around and get grocories

It may be a bit faster in manual, but auto's are slow as s**t and handle like a boat. VT's handling weren't crash hot either but still better than the stock boat ef apart from the lighter steering in the ef. This thread is lame and should be locked or moved to offtopic though.
