Do all 95 EF Xr6's have red rocker covers because mine is black is it still a tickford enhanced motor?

all tickford motors have red rocker covers.

look at the front of the head, may have to move the belt cover.

if the head has a giant "T" embossed on it, then its tickford.

Did any of the 95 EF XR6's come out with non tickford motors? this car also has a 4 gauge dash with out the volt and oil pressure gauges. should the compliance plates say XR6?

Look on the Ford plate, and look at the Engine code, should have an "X", this means a tickford eng, if it has an "H" its a stock engine.
All the tickford rocker covers are RED.
The fairlane sportsman's had GREEN rocker covers, then they (ford), used the same colour for the LPG only engines in the AU's.

might not be an original XR6,
Or
it may have a stock motor (replaced)
OR
it might be a X-cop car.
to see if its a x pursuit car look for 'OPT20' on the complience plate.
if it is you might just have the std options like sports cluster (with calibration feature), ECU (different shift patterns), electric windows, dimming interior, LSD 3.23:1 (some), factory Lowered (some) inc camber kit, ETC.

I have seen EF XR6's with red rocker covers I assume they all would have them.

To make sure just take the belt cover off and look for the tickford wings stamped onto the cylinder head.

To be 100% sure you could probably ring ford and give them your VIN number

Just look for the T on the face of the head then you will know if its a tickford or not.
