Hi
Just after some advice I have a ef xr6 and in high ambient temp it wont start. It turns over ok so im thinking its not a smartlock module. It has a new fuel pump and filter. It's got no throttle response and just backfires When it finally catches. Once it cools down its ok again. Any ideas? Cheers |

Cheers Hey mate, it sounds like a sensor is playing up, I would try the following things Clean out and check if the butterfly in the throttle body is moving smoothly and has the idle speed control motor been replaced or cleaned. Next I would try the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor it could do this, Then try the IAT (intake air temperature)sensor Then try new plugs, leads and check your connections at the coil and the wiring harness |
