whys my tapper cover like dark red not the bright red like most xr6 tickford engines???? i been wondering why and if it actually genuine

maybe its been repainted? engine transplant? do u have the 'T' engraved on the front of the head?

remove the black splash cover off the front and see if you have a bid T like a tickford t without the wings itll be in the centre of the head

also as the guys said should have a "T" stamped on the front of the head.

it all looks the same as that pic under there only that the taper cover red is a bit darker.....

I have an EF XR6 (Fairmont Ghia) and the rocker cover is a darker shade of red than the one shown above.Just make sure the T is there at the front of the head under the belt guard.You will know in 30 seconds as you only have to undo one nut by the Thermostat housing and lift the power steer filler out. |

Its an XR head, i would say the rocker cover has just been repainted.
