You've posted in an LPG forum, run out of gas (LPG ?), and changed petrol system components - please explain ???
Running out of LPG shouldn't do any harm. Running out of petrol will most likely clog the fuel pump pickup gauze.

Thread moved to correct forum. The term "gas" for petrol is confusing.

If you ran the car completely dry on PETROL then most likely you could have clogged the fuel line. As snap0964 mentioned, the gauze filter in your fuel tank could be blocked or the inline fuel filter.
Check/replace both is your best bet.

The fuel filter only allows flow in one direction. Why do you want to undo the fuel line? Are you talking about checking the fuel pump pickup gauze?
