hi
i got a bit of a silly question.. where do the leads run on a el 6 cyl?? do they run across the front of the rocker cover like on a ea or do they run at the rear of the rocker like ef?? or do they run 3 at the front and 3 at the rear like au.. the reason i ask is at the moment i got the au engine in my ea running a dizzy and the leads run across the front of the rocker cover. im about to get leads and was thinking if the el ones run across the rear of the rocker it would look much neater and because the el has a dizzy they will fit fine .. also where abouts is the coil located on the el compared to ea?? |

I'm fairly sure that they run 3-3, but will check for you when mum gets home with the EL

Just checked, they run all 6 leads between the inlet for cylinders 5-6

they run under the intake manifold, then pop up between cylinder 5 and 6, over the top of the rocker cover than into the plugs.
The coil is also under the intake manifold, directly in the center of it.

yea i know..
i got ea leads on it now and they s**t me they are all squashed in between ports 2 and 3 and they get in the way of the dip stick and its hard to get a socket and extension in that gap to adjust the timing.. but i want to make it a bit tidier anyway.... |
