Just had a rear windscreen replaced two days ago .
The car ran well yesterday,however it did suck a piece of paper up into aircon fan. This morning it will not start, engine cranks over great but will not fire?? No spark! Tacho does not move when engine is cranking over ?

Checked all underdash and underbonnet fuses in fuseblocks, all OK.
I have heard that the rear windscreen demister is controlled by the cpu, could this need resetting??
If so how is it done?
This car has never missed a beat untill this.
Can anybody suggest something??

to reset ecu just l undo the batt for a while .

does it crank over at all or does it just go tick once or tick tick tick tick tick ?

Are you sure there is no spark? if no spark, the coil might be dead like my uncles car however just because it won't turn over, doesn't mean there is no spark. Make sure there is fuel pressure too.

Also, with this piece of paper, where abouts exactly is the aircon fan located?

Do the interior lights work when a door is opened??
Does the smartlock light flash when the ignition is off??
