Need Advice on attaching the pod to the airbox...
The top airbox does not have a neck like the EF's..
What should i do??

I thought it was the EF's that didnt have the "neck"

Solution A. Make it fit!

Solution B. (the easier way) go to a wrecker and buy an airbox lid that that does have a "neck"
If they try to charge you more than $20-$30 tell them to f**k themselves!

one thing u can do is, take off that plate that is screwed to the back of the air box and replace the plastic pipe with just a staight peice of 3" pipe long enough to reach into the air box, then you can flexi hose off that...

What he said. The EFs also have a larger opening.

um... ef air box lid, is 80mm (3inches) opening and it has the neck that is inside the box and goes to 50mm (i think)....

the el air box lid, is 50mm opening, just like the ef neck, but the el doesn't have the neck.

with ur problem, maybe just buy the ef air box lid and u can continue ur pod mod. i bought the ef lid from a wrecker and i didn't even use the neck (cut it up to use the 80mm/3inch opening) and stuck a k@n panel in the box. what i did is have 80mm/3inchs all the way from t.b to the panel air filter and then ran a el gt snorkel, which is either 80mm wide or more or less in width..

yeah the box is the same but the size of the intake pipe coming out of the back of the air box is smallier on the el to the ef i have a pod filter on my ef and i got the el intake pipe and it works well if you go to super cheap or some were you can buy the brakcet to mount the pod but you need to un screw the four bolts on the back of the in take box and get four more that are long enough to go trouogh the bracket to the pod and the in take pipe
i will show you a pick

this is what i did, 90mm pvc from bunnings, i painted it black and used a couple of small bends.
get rid of the airbox all together, and hear the whistle.
since this pic was taken, i also changed the piece that goes over the intake manifold to 90mm pvc as the original Ford unit has a big restriction in it to clear the manifold.
