Heres an odd one for you, is the camshaft from an early EL more aggressive than one from an EB 4.0 MPEFI, and if so, are all the journals etc the size? I have an EL parts car, and my road car is a EB Fairmont. I cannot be stuffed pulling the motors out to swap them over, but was wondering if there was a little frag of performance increase by swapping the cams, seeing as I have to replace the rocker cover gasket anyway...

as long as you change the gear to
bear in mind the cam was designed for a motor with a bbm, so as long as you have the parts car....

The lift is no different, the timing is different, and the EA cam has 4 more degrees duration on the exhaust. I am currently running an EA cam, EA head, EA v/springs on my ED 4.0. It has 150rwkw.

by thee bbm swith i presume u mean the vacume opperated module on the front of the manifold? because this is what operates the butterflys on the bbm it is vac operated via manifold vacume the diaphram pushes on the rod to open the butterflys
