just had a vehicle inspection done on my car, cause im about to drive it 800kms..heh
the drive belt tensioner is apparently bent slightly and has too much movement, which is slowly bit by bit pulling my belt off of the wheels.... the mech said its a common fault in EL's... has anyone else had this screwup on them, and any ideas on price to fix it ? or any other tidbits of info you'd like to add?

get an AU one, all the same part ef-el best that I have seen, i dont know about common fault for an el, probably common full stop :0)
a new one i think is about 100 or get one from a wrecker for less off an AU if you can.

If you go for a 2nd hand replacement, you should check out the pulley bearings, have a look at http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... highlight=
Check your drivebelt as well. Ensure it is absolutely the correct one. http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... =tensioner

MY tensioner itself was never a problem but the bearings in the pulley siezed up and melted the pulley into a nice little mess...
