Hey everyone, I have the chance to buy A el engine with low ks and note inlet and exhaust manifolds, injector loom and some other bits, just want to clarify some things before I get started.
From what I've read this a straight swap, engine mounts and trans will meetup?
can I run my belt setup with the clutch fan on a el motor? By just fitting up the eb brackets?
Does the k frame or steering COmponents need to be changed?

Thanks .

yes you can..
use the eb engine mounts and all the eb front dress will bolt directly onto the el engine..you also need to use eb water pump.

the only thing different is the timing marks, you can either just do the dodgy and guess time it.lol. or re-mark the eb harmonic balancer or fit the eb timing case...

you can even keep the log manifold from your eb if you want...

no other modifications required..

Hey Buddy,

K frame is identical... Steering components changed, but not in any way that will conflict your engine swap...

Are you running a BBM currently? If not that'll need to be changed to a log to run on the EEC-IV computer

Three set up is possible, you need to change harmonic balance, AC pump, water pump, alt, p/steer pump, and fit the early e series idlers...

Cheers,
Tim

Awesome guys,
I will source a eb timing case and a new Balencer, waterpump and pulleys.
I'm running the log on my ebb ATM, but I have a el ecu chipped to run the j3, if I get it re programed to be running the el set up will I still have to run a wire to the whatever it is (mind blank haha)
