Are you changing to the EL motor because you want a distributor instead of a coil pack? Or is your EF motor worn out and needs replacing?

You're going to need the engine loom and wiring back to the ECU. I think the EF & EL have a different number of ECU pins.

My engines just tired and have already purchased a worked EL engine, so looks like i need to find an EL loom :lol:, thanks for your help.

If it is just an engine swap all you have to do is to remove the Dizzy out of the EL engine and replace the with the EF "Dizzy" and it should be sweet.

Also check the EL harmonic as it may not have the 36-1 tooth trigger wheel for the edis ignition. If it hasn't got it, swap the harmonic over. As Froudey said, rip dizzy out and fit the EF cmp sensor. Everything else should be sweet.
