My El has been showing excessive high oil pressure on the gauge, This has only just started after I had to repalce a dead battery, I have checked over the engine for oil leaks and it all looks fine not a sign of oil pressure leaks.

Has anyone had this before and what was the fix. I am thinking of changing the oil pressure sensor as well.

Dare say its the sensor. My ED does the same thing except that it shows low pressure constantly.

make sure the wire is on the sender properly, once mine fell off and my oil pressure went to top of gauge almost, then clipped wire back on and away
