Hey fellas wondering if you could shed some light onto the issues I'm getting with my El Fairmont.

When pulling up at a set of lights the revs drop and feels like the cars about to stall and runs real rough on idle, if I put it in neutral the revs pick up and it delays it for about 30 seconds then will go to do it again.

Then when I go to take off it feels really sluggish till roughly 2,500 rpm then revs pick up and goes without an issue with hi revs, it dosent happen every day just every now n then any ideas?

Also every couple of days I'm topping up the coolant but their seem to be no leaks under the car. I'm thinkin it could possibly be the head gasket ( fingers crossed it isn't )

If it means anything the car has a built auto with shift kit and 3,000 hi stall, 3,9's, pacemakers and hi flow cat.

Thank you in advance

If this is the case I would suggest it is probably a head gasket. Blown into a cylinder.

Check your spark plugs to see if any have cracked the insulation around the electrode due to above.
