If it's got zero compression across all 6 cyls after a head change its holding valves open.
Part number on the came doesn't matter, all the stock cams have the same base circle diameter and interchangeable. Why did you replace a tickford head, 'DA' is a tickford number, with a regular head? the 94DA cam will be a late EDXR or early EFXR cam. |

pull a spark plug out and hold your finger aver the plug hole, have a mate crank it over and see if theres any compression.
sometimes they take a bit of cranking to get it to fire and start up, did u do the timing etc by the book when u refitted it the cam wasnt a regrind was it? |

Sorry about this thread from the dead, but I have just done a front cover reseal on my EL, and it now has no comp on 1 and 6. The others are 180 cold! Any ideas? While the timing was difficult and stopping did occur, it wasn't harsh. Cheers Kevin |

Did you rotate the engine at all with the chain off?
Sounds like the pistons may of hit the valve on 1 & 6 and bent them

By front cover seal, do you mean timing chain cover? If so, did you remove the timing cover? Did you reset the timing chain tensioner after reinstalling the timing cover?
