Sorry, but YES you do mean to be rude lol!

I agree in theory however; just pull the pin out n take the worst of it. As I say to one of my best mates who wont race a car unless hes sure he will win, you gotta take the good with the bad, just coz you loose doesnt mean anything lol, boo freaking hoo!

There are always faster cars, just give it a go see how you go, have fun but dont do anything stupid.

I used to drive my mates stock VT around a fair bit, excop car, and there's no way any of the stock E-Series or AU's that I've driven would keep up with it off the line and that (all 6's and all autos).

i will race when i get the chance..just thought in the mean time i would fill in some time.....i would be quite happy to come close to winning as my car is worth $6000 less than his so that reason enough for me to be happy to start with

The Falcon has about 30Nm more torque approx 500 RPM lower in the rev band than the Commonwhore V6 and it also benefits from 5kW more power up top.

I believe the Commonwhores have a 3.45 diff in their autos and Falcons have a 3.08. The reason why Ford use a taller diff ratio is because it's got a decent amount of torque down low.

So, if you were to change the drivline ratios of the Falcon to match the Commonwhore, it's a no brainer. The Falcon engine is superior to the Commonwhore engine.... after all, that V6 started out its life as a tractor engine...

The ticky engines are good.

I've had to add intake, exhaust, extractors, 3.45LSD and I only JUST edge infront of Concorde in his ticky equiped FAIRLANE (all that extra weight).

I am still waiting for someone *cough* choco *cough* to hurry up and give me his ticky head.

I'm planning on getting that head worked before I put it on. ports, decked, higher comp, and a stage 3 cam/springs I think will keep me happy.

As for you, have you got a high flow filter and a GT or AUXR8 snorkel. They'll help a bit with the extractros/exhaust. And are cheap. After that, you've gotta start spending some cash. So a cam would be next in line. followed by head work and bigger cam (+ maybe a chip).

Good to see the appreciation you blokes have for the "ticky" motor. She certainly is a bloody good thing. I've had a DEV3HL kit with stainless steel extractors, high flow cat and 2 1/2" stainless exhuast fitted to my EF XR6 and she's an absolute weapon. It's proved itself capable of blowing of VR-VS clubsports. Yet to put the fight up against a GEN3 V8 equipped commodore. Looking forward to it though.

For a little while, but then it shrinks again.
It's interesting to note that getting jumped by a Pulsar has a shrivelling effect on the testes, and will bring on suicidal thoughts.

A pullstart may beat you off the line, but you should have 'her' by the other side of the intersection.
