Did all EL Ghia's have that crap speed sensitive steering? (even the earlier ones)

If they did is it easy to swap the old rack out for a normal one?

Have found one that I am interested in, but do not want to have to put up with that lifeless steering again!

Cheers,

my experience with a properly working speed sensitive steering (altho ive only ever driven BA's with it) is that it has enough weight and feel when u want it

It's not that bad, but it would take some getting used to.
If your going to get one, drive it around for a while before you get set on ripping it out.
It's pretty cool being able to drive with your pinky finger :D

driving dads bf, it seems so backwards, the steering is tighter when driving slow.

personally i would like it the other way? loose when slow for parking and tighter at speeds to more precision
