I would like to know if I swap the air box to where the battery is on my el 6 and make a custom air box with cold air being fed from the front bar and alloy going from the box to the t/b above the exhaust manifold would be better then the factory setup. Also I would put a heat sheild of some sort on the induction piping

You would be better off cutting a hole in the bottom of the existing airbox and ducting it down into the guard and behind the vent in the front bar.

is there a docco or something explaining how to do this and what u need???

tip: if you have abs be careful as it sits right under the airbox and the gard. cheers

Mate have a look at www.autospeed.com they made a cold air setup with ba intake parts and they gained 3rwkw on the dyno its a proven set up have a look.

changing the length of the induction piping will effect your torque.
running the pipe over your headers/extractors will cause the pipe to heat up and possibly the air in it too...

just things to consider for you.

next time you go maccaz drink your coke out of the straw, and then get another straw and attach it to the first one, and you will see the differece.
