Was planning on making a bit of a tech doc from it..
IE how to adapt an EL engine harness to plug straight into a EA-ED loom... Think it might be worth it compared to customizing the ED loom to fit. |

Update...
This is where I am at now... I do have a question though.. the sensor on the log manifold on the inside (closest to the block) of the log near the middle.. That is the pickup for the MAP sensor yes? Anyway, here is where I am at for both ED and EL mapping.. a ways to go yet. ED falc Code: BIG LOOM (ROUND) Tan ?????? Oange/Black Throtle pos Grey/White (big) ISC Tan INJ 1,3,5 Red (big) x3 All INJ & ISC Green/Black Throttle pos Green (lite Big) INJ 6,4,2 Black/white Throttlepos /MAP common Yellow/red MAP Brown TFI SMALL 4 spade plug. Red (big) Starter Soleniod White/Red Oil sensor Tan/Blue Earth red/green Coil & and suppressor under coil I must not have found a loom because the other TFI wires are not in the ones I've found thus far.. will keep looking And for the EL falcon Code: EL Falcon colours

Hey Mr P100...
If your still "Out on good behaviour" could I bother you for a slightly higer res version of that ED Ford manual that you posted a while back.. I've almost got the ED loom nailed. just a couple of things I want to go though and no matter how much I clean up the one you posted earlier, I can't read the small text.. I realised that I don't need to map out the whole EL loom to get this working.. only need to map out the ED one and then find the same wires in the EL one. I will do the full EL one though, because we should have it on record. any chance dude? rgds Frank |

Here is the final wire color code for the two plugs on an EA-ED engine loom harness.
I've actually got a loom here with me and have verified this with a multimeter on continuity, but I make no promises as I've not started my EL motor yet which will be the real test .
Code: BIG LOOM (ROUND)
Grey/Blue Earth Oange/Black Throttle pos Grey/White (big) ISC Tan INJ 1,3,5 Red (big) x3 All INJ & ISC Green/Black Throttle pos Green (lite Big) INJ 6,4,2 Black/white Throttle pos / MAP common / TFI Yellow/red MAP SMALL 4 spade plug.
