Hi guys, this morning when i was driving to working i heard an alert beeping noise comming from the car which alerted me to the fact that my oil pressure gauge was reading zero. But by the time the alert went off the gauge started creeping up to normal around 5, but through my journey to work the gauge constantly fluctuated, going from 0 all the way to 5 and back down and up to 2 and 4 and 3, it was all over the place but in the most controlled fashion. Meaning it wasnt going fast and jolting everywhere but it was pretty steadily going from low to high and back the other way.

Does this sound like the oil pressure is actually fluctuating? Or could it be a faulty oil pressure sensor?

Hopefully just the sensor but any help would be great,

Thanks guys

EF/EL oil sender unit (theres only one)

Its located above and just behind the oil filter, its black and is about 2cm wide and 6cm long.

One wire attatched to it.

you need a 1+1/8th deep impact C**k to remove it.

I did a oil change yesterday and was looking at the sensor , it would be easier to get to underneath the car with airbox out .
