Hi all just wanted to confirm i dismantles my EL oil pump during a rebuild but when i removed the pick up i didnt notice anything come out from behind spring.
Now that im reassembling it i have noticed spring has no load against it when pick up is fitted.
Is there meant to be a cap or washer between relief spring and pick up as you bolt pick up back on to apply load to spring.

figured it out later pumps use the pick up to hold relief spring in place with no plug as per earlier units.
