Looks interesting, but would mean cutting some holes in my bonnet?
Anyone know if this kinda setup is any good?

I wonder how much air gets in their?
Considering a water droplet can stay on the bonnet for a long time, would their be alot of air pressure passing near the hole for air to get through the hole?
A question for the engineers!

True, but doesn't the engine suck the air in, or use atmospheric pressure. yeah something for the engineers to work out haha.

I wonder the same thing you, I would expect the rain to travel up it as the air does? and with the rain coming down and the pressure of you driving forward the rain would surly go up wouldnt it

Any other recommendations on a good ram air intake?

you will find that if water gets into the system it is not going to be of a great enough volume to cause any problems. I would concider having a hydrastaic valve fitted to the lowest point of the air box to allow any build up of water to escape while not sucking in any hot air from the engine bay
