Its suggested that it will but cant say 4 sure, as the engine is no longer used to turn the fan.
As long as your electrical system can handle the power drain of the twin fans. ie at idle.

Slightly, maybe a kw or two I think. But the engine revs alot smoother, idles better and doesnt create a tornado when idling on dirt.

About 15rwhp is the average gain by removing engine driven fan, have prooven this on the dyno many times, including last years Horsepower Heros comp at Summer Nats 19 in Canberra..
Simply removing the fan gained 18 rwhp on that occasion, but 10 rwhp would be the least you could expect Cheap power, and added smothness as well, good value for money!!!!! |

Maybe, just maybe 10rwhp if the fan clutch is locked on and running at full speed. This could also back up your claim at Summernats, which would be a good 35C+ in the dyno cells.
Also was than on a Xb 351 Coupe? If it was that would have a larger power draining fan, since they were steel, and much heavier. But certainly not on a EA-ED Falcon in normal circumstances. I would give $50 to someone who could prove they gained 15rwhp on an E-Series by just changing the fan.

I will hold you to that!
i am going to dyno my car in Jan with my original fan and with twin thermos. I think 5-10kw at best tho, but if its higher i don't mind taking the $50 home! This is the best mod i have done to my car by far. As mine is a manual, all i can hear is the exhaust and the XH snorkal sucking like a dirty hore. There was a noticable difference in throttle respose. Adam

ie at idle. I read somewhere that you could use the ECU from an EL/EF because that has all the electrics to control the thermo fans. Just a thought. If possible I might put thermo fans on my EB Fairmont

I wired mine up and only get 0.5volts drop! originally have 1 volt drop.
key is to make sure everything is earthed properly, make sure you follow instruction carefully, and please test everything before you put it all in! Adam
