o man thats why ford mods is here!!!! for me to read what you guys tell me.lmaoooo ive got one of those workshop manuals on the computer but its s**t doesnt give me a straight answer with anything

youll see the rotor button when u take the dizzy cap off, u just pull it out,

the rotor button is what sends the spark to each lead, as it spins around inside the cap it shoots out a spark to each lead.

ummm I may be wrong but didnt Au's have coil packs not dizzy's? I know all 5 au's in my family have coil packs.

yeah your right mate but im running the dizzy from my el motor.yeah will do it tomorrow ill buy the dizzy and rotor button tomorrow.any one free tomorrow to lend a hand.will pay.i hate doing s**t on the dizzy get confused when it comes to doing the leads.

leads are easy, take one off at a time that way u cant get confused, also helps if the new leads are a different colour

and the leads should be numbered 1 2 3 4 5 6 as well as the dizzy cap,

get genuine bosch parts too.

you fail at reading threads. isn't around 3000rpm the switching point for the runners in the bbm? is something going wrong there?

the switching point is at 3800rpm, but even with it not switching the car will still rev out, just be alittle down on power,

yeah it only changes the runners to get the air to the motor quicker if it wasnt working than it would just be a bit more slower at getting to the higher rpms, ive tryed playing with them a few years back sticking them open or shut and running round the block and it didnt stutter
