Dans EA (once running) with some bottom end work, at 15psi would easily beat the 451rwkw

remember Pyro was 451rwkw on avgas, a friendly dyno, and a bunch of other variables in its favour.
its about 407rwkw if i remember right in 98ron

going bak to the original post.

imo just turbo the stock el engine, using a snort turbo kit( turbo, manifold, oil lines, dump, gate and wat ever els they com with) then get a desent ecu like ems 8860, walbro 255 or 044, 42+lb injectors, intercooler. then take it to a exhaust place and get them to make up a 3" exhaust and intercooler piping. then get the ecu installed and tuned at some performance shop. should have your self 220+rwkw on 10-12psi, and mid 13 sec car on street tires.

if u cant be f**k with all that and dont need that much power then go a dev 5 kit or cms stage 3 or something.

The bloke wants to keep everything legal. I doubt he is going to get it all engineered for under $10k so unless he wants to grow some balls and go boosted he is stuck with something that isn't going to go fast.

If he wants to keep it legal and go fast, sell the f**k falcon and buy a TTsoarer or turbo skyline/silvia/VL for around $15,000 and be done with it.

If he wants to drive a fast eseries then put it on boost.

Fixed :P

I think guys are running 24+ psi with TO4z's to make 500ish on the xr6t forums. I would need to run about the same. I dont think I have the motivation to spend money like that on the EA anymore though.

Maybe once I move out if i dont have better things to spend cash on.

I'd give it a go on a $700 bottom end though :) It could get messy.
