It's been raining for a few days and I checked under my boot carpet and theres water droplets .the carpet under my spare tyre is wet also .
So I pulled back the drivers side boot side carpet and the plastic cover for the shock tower and the top of the shock is covered in water droplets . The drivers side boot has all the droplets but the passengers side doesn't .? I'm thinking the panel beaters must not have sealed it properly when they fixed the damage . Anyway I got my mate in the boot and I hosed the rear of the car and nothing ? No leaks . So I'm thinking it must just be condensation ? The car sweating ? After the rains it got really hot . But then again when it was raining my cars boot is wet and it wasn't hot ?? I also checked under the carpet and the front passengers is a bit moist while all other sides are dry. Now I have all doors open and boot up letting it air out . Any suggestions where it's leaking or if it's sweating ?? There a no signs of water leaking . No rust marks . Could it be the window seal letting in moisture or droplets ??

Pretty normal after the weather we have been having.
Grab a closet camel and set up in the car. It will amaze you the amount of water you will suck out of the car.

my boots leaking again and its not from condensation. its been raining down hear for like 2 weeks straight.it has to be a slow leak as i have tried the trick where a mate gets in the boot and you hose the car. nothing.
so it must take a day or two of rain before it starts leaking. also i read in a thread that the sun roof drains will cause the boot to leak, if they are blocked ?? but mine arent blocked and they are at the drivers front door not boot ?? heres a pic of where it leaks, it just puddles up there.

yea i think it must be seeping in though the window seals, is there anywhere i can put silicon to seal it up under the parcel shelf ??
its not leaking through my rear wing as the boot lid carpet would be wet

if you could pin point the leak you could try seal it up...
hopefully its not from rust under the rear window weather strip.. |

it cant be off the tyres cos i checked it before it went to work, then when i got in to leave work theres a puddle, where could it be coming from ?
i cant think of whats up behind there its all sealed by the body

looking at the pics imo the only logical place would be from the corner of the rear window...

i have no idea what to do, i cant see any water marks running down, all i can see is the dirty water trail coming from behind that panel.
might have to get a mirror so i can see up in behind

Never found the leak but reckoned was certain angle overflowing over the seals. in other threads guys have said if they park downhill it leaks, but i was on level ground, i never park on a hill , maybe once a week when i go to a mates place. whats gets me is i can see the wheel arch and the dirty water trail goes over it, so hoe can it be running up the wheel arch lol

It was in a car park at work . Which is pretty flat . The front of the car would be on a down ward angle if anything .
My boot only leaks sometimes and if it's rained then gotten really hot water drop lets gather where it leaks . I'm thinking the panel beaters did something to make it leak IIRC it never leaked before , Or maybe when I backed into the mailbox the force disturbed the window seal. Might get a few quotes on re-sealing the rear window or do it myself . It has to be from the rear window .
