Went to buy a new 'sensor' the other day as the oil guage goes all the way to high (Just got car) and thought i'd just try a new 'sensor' but the bursons rep said it's just the normal $10 switch.....But a switch is for non oil guage clusters ie GLi......correct? Fitted the switch and it's still same... duh! My EF Mont appears to have a 'sensor' type unit so that's what i must need huh??? Or the guage has a short or the pressure is waaaay bad!!!

If you've got an oil pressure gauge you need the sensor.

If you dont have it, you only have a low oil pressure light which turns on at a set "low pressure" defiend by the switch.
