I have an EL XR6 with only 79,000 on the clock, since owning it I have had pacemaker headers, an SS air induction kit put on and had a Red-Back medrel bent exhaust installed. However, after placing it on the dyno it only has 129 rwkw. Without supercharging or turbocharging does anyone have any ideas on increasing rwkw? I have looked into getting a J.3 chip but the power gain seems mininmal and hardly worth the money. Any ideas would be great.
Cheers.

129 is a pretty good start for the mods you've done.
The next easiest and most cost effective mod would be to fit a cam. (I think) Check out this thread for a basic run down on what's available. ford-4l-and-6-cylinder-f1/3-9l-4-0l-inline-6-modification-guide-t66.html |
