is the "davies craig" elec water pump worth the trouble?? has anybody got them installed on theyre e-series i6?? mine an ef...anyday to be 170rwkw then 180rwkw with a tune of my unichip... would the elec water pump help on my new engine?? Is the setup reliable if installed by a professional??? sorry for all the Q's.... just heaps curious... I tried a search but nothing come up.. cheers...

hey dude, have never seen any on a I6, But im sure they are out there for them, Just remember you will still need a pully on one due to the belt setup

suppose u would leave the pulley in place so the belt didnt have to be fixed... so u would just disatach the water pump blade??? so theres virtualy no resistance??? because of no water pump blade...

u remove the water pump and put teh electric pump in it s place
u need to have an idler pulley attached to the electric water pump due tot he serpitine belt system the falcs use u might be able to get away with a shorter belt run a differnt way though, this would need to be investigated with the electric pump u will need the pump controller which adjust the flow rate for optimum cooling and can also be set to run after the engine has shut down which is a pardon the pun a cool idea
