get over it. :)

So by replacing the guides, theres been a 25hp gain?

i know i made 186hp with one missing guide, then snapped another guide and still felt strong as it did before and only running on one guide

So in the end, it turned out to actualy be a cam timming related issue.
not that it was advanced or retarded, but all over the place due to damaged guides and chain.

Yeah, exactly ...the smoothness of my final curve after fixing up the chain guides really shows this.

Not forgetting ...a 'cam-phasing' issue is what Terry diagnosed right from the start.

Cheers mate.

EF FECTIV (Matthew) is the car I'm talking about with the Snort Kit.

I obviously got my figures wrong, haha ...my bad.

But still pretty good nonetheless.

Haha, you remembered.

Well ...I went from 107 kg's down to 79 kg's in 11 weeks as I think you know (running daily, low-carb high-protein diet).

I've since entered phase 2 of my plan, quit the cardio and now on an intense weight training regime with a high-protein diet ...I'm currently around 81-82 kg's ...and the added weight ISN'T FAT

So yeah, all's good mate.

Back on topic...

Took her out for a decent jaunt in the heat today ...she's running the best she ever has.

No probs with AC on now (although it needs a regas) ...temp moves very slightly in a narrow range between M and A on the gauge.

Just a very slight momentary rev hang when coming to a stop out of gear ...but this 'idle dashpot' is something Terry can very easily tweak via his laptop.

And yeah, smooth & punchy ...she's definitely back in 'gruntsville'
