You can legally have 1 join in the service line but no more. Havent heard of the legalities of having it in front of cyl#1, maybe it varies state to state. This would allow you to put the converter where you want. Another common place in the EA-EL falcon is in place of the wiper washer bottle, and yes then it would be a shorter vapour line and you may have the extra length in the LPG service line if it runs parallel to the fuel lines.

I thought lpg instalation was covered by an Australian Standard so it would probably be the same between states.

LPG tanks have excess flow and stall cut-off valves.

I would have thought at worst there will be a momentary flame under the bonnet as you get when the engine backfires through the intake....

safety feature on the tank will cut out but theres heaps of gas pressure from the line to the converter to start a nice engine fire, which in turn ignite any rupture fuel tank from the rear of the car you've just rammed. in a scenario of course.
