Hi
Engine bay heat in the BA is a real problem IMO . Some of the hosing near the air intake and the airbox can get so hot - I am sure they effect the temp of the air intake. Anybody have any ideas regarding heat shielding - such as engine covers or covers over some of the hoses and the inlet manifold?

mm all u can do is maybe get som ef/el style bonnet scoops to remove the hot air..
or get the exhaust heat wraped or HPC coated. also above the firewall between the bonnet there is a rubber sealing strip .. remove this as it allows airflow through the engine bay you can even go to the extremes of adding some washers to thebonnet hinges so there is a bigger gap at the back of the bonnet

As I recall, the engine runs hot during run in. probably due to a higher friction rate til it settle into the right tolerance. use higher octane fuel during that time, stay away frrom regular u/l petrol otherwise she'll be running to much timing advance=heat feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
